چکیده

Anthropogenic and industrial wastewater (IWW) could be an additional future source of water to support the needs people State Qatar. New lagoons have been built using modern technologies optimize use waste recycling, as well increasing green spaces around country. To achieve successful development these new lagoons, lessons should learned from old ponds by examining their biodiversity, ecology, roles played aquatic plants algae remediate wastewaters at ponds. The perspectives IWW (from oil gas activities), that is currently pumped deep into ground are presented. Instead causing great damage groundwater, can stored in artificial prepared for ridding it all impurities pollutants various types, organic inorganic, thereby making serviceable human uses. Phycoremediation, bioremediation, phytoremediation methods adopted algae, bacteria native discussed, special attention paid those proved removing heavy metals degrading compounds. At least three namely: Amaranthus viridis, Phragmites australis, Typha domingensis attention, since efficient remediation arsenic mercury; elements found abundantly activities. Some promising innovative experiences biotechnologies develop transgenic microorganisms important strategy keep ecosystem clean safe. Novelty statementIndustrial alternative Arabian Gulf region. Currently, a groundwater; little information about this issue has reported. Such designed them types; used. Modern biotechnology enhance adopted.

Biodiversity and chemodiversity: future perspectives in bioprospecting.

Biological diversity and its constituent chemical diversity have served as one of the richest sources of bioprospecting leading to the discovery of some of the most important bioactive molecules for mankind. Despite this excellent record, in the recent past, however, bioprospecting of biological resources has met with little success; there has been a perceptible decline in the discovery of nove...

Biodiversity and Topographic Complexity: Modern and Geohistorical Perspectives.

Topographically complex regions on land and in the oceans feature hotspots of biodiversity that reflect geological influences on ecological and evolutionary processes. Over geologic time, topographic diversity gradients wax and wane over millions of years, tracking tectonic or climatic history. Topographic diversity gradients from the present day and the past can result from the generation of s...
